Privacy Policy
Hove ICT (Dutch Chamber of Commerce no. 56986971, based in The Hague) is the controller for personal data processed on hoveict.nl. We collect as little as possible and never sell data to third parties. Below is exactly what we process, why, and for how long.
Contact form
When you fill in the contact form we process your name, email address and message. We use this data only to reply to you. Submissions arrive through Netlify Forms.
Analytics
We use PostHog to understand how the site is used: which pages are visited, and with what kind of device and browser. This helps us improve the site. The analytics are cookieless: nothing is stored in your browser and visitors are not tracked across visits. The data is stored on servers in the EU and is not shared with or sold to third parties.
Client sign-in
The site has a private section that is only accessible to clients,
through sign-in with a Microsoft 365 work account. When you sign in we
process the data Microsoft passes to us (name, email address and
organisation) to check whether you have access. After signing in we set a
secure session cookie (updates_auth) that is valid for 30 days. See also
the
Microsoft privacy statement.
Hosting and logs
The site is hosted by Netlify. As with any website, the hosting provider keeps technical logs (including IP addresses) for security and incident investigation; these are kept for a short period. Netlify is based in the US and certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.
Cookies
updates_auth: functional session cookie for the client section, only after signing in, valid for 30 days.
The analytics work without cookies and without local storage.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection. To exercise any of these, send a message through the contact form. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Dutch supervisory authority, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens.
Changes
We may update this policy when the site or the services it uses change. The current version is always on this page.
